Quick Q&A with Senior Kate Russell

Q: What is one of your most memorable childhood memories?

A: My most memorable childhood memory is when my parents would leave me home with my two older brothers.  One day my oldest brother Dave decided we should take our mattresses off of our beds and use them as sleds down our stairs.  We proceeded to put two against the wall at the end of the stairs so that when we hit the wall with the "sled" mattress we would fly off of it and into the ones against the wall and bounce back and fourth...we also broke our babysitters ankle that day as she tried joining the activities (at this point we were jumping off the balcony onto mattresses stacked below).

Q: What are you looking forward to the most in the move to the Pac-12?

A: The thing I am most looking forward to by moving into the Pac-12 is the teams that we are playing.  There are so many highly ranked teams in the Pac 12 it feels great being the underdog and knowing that not many people are giving us a second thought.  The style of play is also one I am looking forward to because I personally identify more with that type of play.
Where as in the Big 12 games were often based on athletic ability and strength.
